Module 2 Lesson #1 Dividing a Fraction by a Whole Number

Welcome to Module 2!

Module 2 starts out by showing visual representations of fractions and models the concepts by showing what a fraction divided by a whole number looks like.

Mod 2 Lesson #1 breaks from routine a bit in that the first half of the booklet served as a guide to what we did in class.  Students primarily used marker boards and erasable markers to make models of fraction and fraction problems.  Therefore, the first half of the book may not be filled out entirely since most of the work was done on the marker boards themselves.

The blog shows a demonstration of what the students had been doing over the last couple of days.  Hopefully this will serve as visual "refresher" for those students who need to see the examples again.  It will also help parents who wish to reinforce the methodology at home.
